>>Take Action: Tell Congress to Ban PFAS!Toxic Forever ChemicalsSewage sludge used to be dumped into the ocean, but that
wasn’t environmentally responsible, so it was marketed as
“fertilizer” and dumped on farmland. There’s nothing wrong
with “humanure” if properly composted. The thing that
makes sewage sludge so nasty isn’t the human waste, it’s
the polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This class of highly
toxic man-made fluorinated chemicals are used in a variety of
products, including waterproof fabric, stain-resistant carpets,
nonstick pans, flame retardant furniture, take-out containers,
cosmetics and firefighting foam.

Seed and Food Freedom
Defending Our Seed and Food Sovereignty, Resisting GMO ImperialismSeeds are the first link in the food chain. They embody our
heritage and enfold the future evolution of life. It is our
inherent duty and responsibility to protect our seeds and
pass them on to future generations. The cultivation of seeds
and their free exchange among farmers have been the basis
for maintaining biodiversity and our food security.

“Environmentally-Friendly” Polystyrene?
The OCA is suing Eggland’s Best for allegedly misleading
consumers by marketing its “Classic Eggs” as: Coming from
caged hens that are “always handled … humanely” and
have space “adequate for normal function and behavior.”
Delivered “in the most environment-friendly way” in polystyrene
cartons that are “recyclable” and accepted by “more and
more communities . . . in their recycling programs.”

are here. How long before companies like Amazon start
pulling the plug on retail and agriculture altogether? That’s
what was on my mind as I toured the 2023 Natural Products
Expo in Philadelphia, the trade show that has shaped the
selection of organic and natural offerings at stores
across the U.S. since 1981.
>>Tell Congress to ban “gain-of-function” bioweapons research! Will Your Congressperson Ban “Gain-of-Function” Bioweapons Research?Back in November 2023, Congress took the first step to
stopping the next pandemic. "To protect against man-made
pandemics” the U.S. House of Representatives included
language in one of its appropriations bills that “prohibits
any funding from going to EcoHealth Alliance, the Wuhan
Institute of Virology, or any lab located in Russia or China.
The bill also prohibits funding from being used for any
gain-of-function research, which was being used on bat
coronavirus prior to the COVID pandemic.”
>>Tell Your Lawmakers to Restrict Risky mRNA Foods!Restrict Risky mRNA Foods!Risky mRNA technology is already being used to produce our
food. State legislators are playing catch-up, trying to get
ahead of these new GMOs with bills to restrict or label
mRNA foods. Old GMOs modify DNA. These new GMOs
modify RNA, but the impact on the eater is the same:
they expose us to new proteins that could be toxic or
allergenic.

Demand a Better Farm Bill!
Why is U.S. food and farming dominated by junk food
peddlers like Pepsi, genetic engineering giants like
Monsanto (now Bayer) and factory farm titans like
Tyson Foods? Every five years, their lobbyists write a
piece of legislation known as the Farm Bill that doles out
billions of our tax dollars in subsidies that grease the
wheels of their big-profits-from-cheap-food machine.

Monsanto’s Roundup Weedkiller!
In 2015, the World Health Organization confirmed
that glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s
Roundup weedkiller, is a probable human carcinogen,
based on strong evidence linking it to n
on-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Watch Here
Watch Organic RisingOrganic Rising is the first feature-length film to demystify
organic agriculture for the consumer. Initially the
documentary presents the two predominant U.S. agrarian
practices: conventional and organic, and how they impact
human health and the planet. It simultaneously demystifies
the USDA organic regulatory process and farming methods
allowing consumers to make informed choices and to
explore avenues of supporting and maintaining a strong
and robust agricultural future.
Take Action
Ceasefire Now!Why should people who love regenerative organic food
take a stand for peace? Here’s one of many reasons:
Decontaminating land poisoned with pesticides and
synthetic fertilizers is a wicked problem, but farms sown
with cluster bombs and land mines are beyond the
power of agriculturalists to recover, no matter how
regenerative their practices.

Ask Your State Legislators
to Ban Lab-Grown Meat
In March of 2023, the Italian government supported a bill
that bans lab-grown “foods”. Why? Because Italy cares about
the impact lab-meats could have on their people, their
farmers, and the environment.

Will American state governments do the same?
