Toxic Forever Chemicals

Sewage sludge used to be dumped into the ocean, but that
wasn’t environmentally responsible, so it was marketed as
“fertilizer” and dumped on farmland. There’s nothing wrong
with “humanure” if properly composted. The thing that
makes sewage sludge so nasty isn’t the human waste, it’s
the polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This class of highly
toxic man-made fluorinated chemicals are used in a variety of
products, including waterproof fabric, stain-resistant carpets,
nonstick pans, flame retardant furniture, take-out containers,
cosmetics and firefighting foam.

The OCA is suing Eggland’s Best for allegedly misleading
consumers by marketing its “Classic Eggs” as: Coming from
caged hens that are “always handled … humanely” and
have space “adequate for normal function and behavior.”
Delivered “in the most environment-friendly way” in polystyrene
cartons that are “recyclable” and accepted by “more and
more communities . . . in their recycling programs.”

are here. How long before companies like Amazon start
pulling the plug on retail and agriculture altogether? That’s

Expo in Philadelphia, the trade show that has shaped the

across the U.S. since 1981.

any funding from going to EcoHealth Alliance, the Wuhan
Institute of Virology, or any lab located in Russia or China.
The bill also prohibits funding from being used for any
gain-of-function research, which was being used on bat
coronavirus prior to the COVID pandemic.”

Risky mRNA technology is already being used to produce our
food. State legislators are playing catch-up, trying to get
ahead of these new GMOs with bills to restrict or label
mRNA foods. Old GMOs modify DNA. These new GMOs

they expose us to new proteins that could be toxic or
allergenic.
