With all the press about the rising costs of food at local markets, why not try to grow your own? Knowing that you grew something in your yard can be very rewarding.
My family quizzes me at dinner, "Is this from our garden"? My son will even munch on a freshly pulled carrot without having his arm twisted. There is also some satisfaction in knowing that our vegetables, with the exception of fertilizers on my part, were organically grown.
