Give one year. Create real change. Grow Montana is now accepting applications for FoodCorps, a team of five full-time AmeriCorps VISTA's helping schools and colleges across Montana to buy more locally-grown foods. Now in the third year of this nationally-innovative program, FoodCorps works with Montana farmers, ranchers, students, parents, teachers, and activists to create long-term change. Last year's team returned over $1 million to Montana's food and agricultural economy. At the same time, they protected the planet by reducing the amount of fossil fuel used and cutting air pollution. FoodCorps members hone organizing skills through interactive trainings ranging from the ins and outs of local food systems to the fundamental principles of community organizing. Five positions are available in Missoula, Bozeman, and Pablo. The next FoodCorps team will begin work in mid-July, so apply now!
