Some neighbors in a Lehigh County town are fighting the possibility of a Super Wal-Mart. Wednesday night, North Whitehall Township supervisors heard from both sides, and debated whether the proposal meets the zoning standards. WFMZ's Stephanie Esposito was at the meeting and has the latest.
REPORTER: The hearing is still going on right now. Both sides are passionate and not backing down. We don't want another MacArthur Road here in the Lehigh Valley. The last thing we need is more suburban sprawl. This is the first step in a three step process, conditional use, subdivision and land development. REPORTER: Joseph Bubba is the land attorney for Walmart East LP. He's up against Tom Dinklelacker who was hired by a concerned citizens group which is fundraising to pay him for his services. Often times these developers come in and steer their way through the process and here in North Whitehall we finally have a situation where some dedicated citizens have organized.
