Web Note: An interesting report by a hyper-conservative group came out recently attacking Wal-Mart on a variety of fronts for adopting certain “liberal and environmental causes.� A huge part of the report is a scathing criticism of the company for its environmental initiatives, including its recent aggressive move to become a retail leader in organic food and clothing. The report mentions OCA by name and quotes OCA Director Ronnie Cummins to the effect that Wal-Mart's foray into organics and green business practices is but a frantic attempt to slow down the increasingly effective global grassroots campaign against Wal-Mart that threatens the bring the corporation down.
