Take Action Against Starbucks In San Francisco on Tues. Feb.26th!!

Join the Organic Consumers Association, Global Exchange, Pesticide

Action Network, Center for Food Safety and other social, environmental, and food safety activists to pressure Starbucks to change their company policies by removing GE ingredients from their food and dairy products and by actively promoting Fair Trade Coffee in all of their stores.

When:  Tuesday Feb. 26, 2002,  Noon

Where:  Starbucks, 120 4th Street @ Mission in San Francisco

What:  A rally and protest outside Starbucks on the day of Starbucks annual shareholders meeting in Seattle. Come and spend your lunch hour sipping on a free cup of Fair Trade coffee while educating Starbucks customers about these important issues.

In the past year thousands of activists in the US, Japan, Austria, Canada, New Zealand ,Israel and England have protested and leafleted outside of hundreds of Starbucks cafes in what continues to be the largest grassroots campaign of its kind focusing on genetic engineering and fair trade.  Our volunteers have now handed out a quarter of a million leaflets to Starbucks customers and we have educated many millions more through the numerous media stories the campaign has generated.

STARBUCKS HAS ALREADY RESPONDED TO SOME OF OUR DEMANDS BUT, WE NEED TO KEEP THE PRESSURE ON!!!

Come Join us on the 26th, bring a friend and bring a sign:

*NO Sweatshop Coffee!    *NO rBGH!* *SAY NO TO GMOs*

*No FrankenLatte*  *Is Your Cup a Just Cup?*  *Grande Pain in the Butt*
