  Julia's professional experience with birth began with her training as a certified Doula through DONA, International. She is also a member of the Doula Cooperative of Rochester, NY. In the fall of 2004, Julia began her work as a Lamaze Childbirth Educator and now enjoys teaching both privately and with Birth Matters! As a doula, she has assisted with vaginal birth, cesarean birth, high-risk birth and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Her work has involved partnering with teens, single mothers, couples and families.
