  I am an experienced and certified birth doula in San Antonio offering support for pregnant mothers from the prenatal period through the first few weeks postpartum. I believe that birth should be a peaceful and joyous occasion, and the continuous physical and emotional support of a doula is extremely helpful for new moms and dads. I have 6 children of my own, so I can truly empathize with what the mother is feeling, and can offer support in many different ways. I am very experienced with breastfeeding as well and can help with getting started and observing any problems that may need more assistance. I offer a large binder of information for parents to use during their pregnancy to help in collecting information to help in making truly informed decisions about their care, whether that care is done by a doctor or a midwife, in a hospital, birthing center, or at home.
