  El Departamento de la Comida, "the department of food", is a locally owned Puerto Rican distribution enterprise of local, organic, sustainable, and artisanal food, from crops to other products. We help support and promote local organic farming through a weekly box system, where clients receive and consume local organic fare, learn about their farmers, what sustainable practices are, gain access to the best quality food, and support a vital economy. We work with farmers, help to increase their demand and volume, as well as educating consumers to directly support through farmer's markets, the weekly box system, events, etc.
