  Erica studied to become a birth doula in 2002 with Penny Simkin, renowned DONA International childbirth educator. Within months, she assisted a laboring indigenous woman at a rural health clinic in Chilon, Chiapas, Mexico. Erica simply advocates a humanized experience of birth. She offers her clients a unique experience and perspective throughout their entire pregnancy, labor/birth, and beyond. Advanced workshops include Pamela England's Birthing from Within Childbirth Mentor training, Ina May Gaskin's Midwife Assistant training, and Elaine Stillerman's Mother Massage technique for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Erica's long time interest in childbirth, reproductive choice, and well woman care led her to master level studies in Prenatal Psychology and Mental Health Counseling.
