  Second Chance Animal Sanctuary (SCAS) is located in the foothills of Tennessee/Georgia mountains and is an non-profit 501(c)3 organization made entirely of volunteers who are dedicated in doing something to help the excess of abandoned, neglected and abused animals in their community. Since there isn't a Humane Society or SPCA in the area, without such a grass roots organization, many of these animals would be left to perish from abandonment, starvation or from being killed by automobiles.
