  Emotional and physical preparation focusing on informed choices, avoidance of unnecessary procedures, birth planning, relaxation techniques, coping skills and more. I provide consumer-oriented, holistic childbirth preparation classes independently and through University MacDonald Education Center. I have extensive experience as a birth doula in hospital and home settings, through hospital-based programs, research studies and in private practice. I also provide lactation counseling services independently and incorporate breastfeeding support and information into my education and doula services. As a DONA approved birth doula trainer, I have been providing basic and advanced birth doula workshops since 1997 in the Greater Cleveland area and elsewhere.
