  As a Birth Doula I accompany women and oten their partners through labor and birth to empower the birthing woman and to help her acknowledge birth as a normal process, to develop trust in her body, to fully experience the transitions of birth and their transformative nature, and to appreciate that no matter the path that the journey is indeed a gift. I draw on my knowledge and experience to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to her (and partner). I am independent and self-employed. As a doula, I am working for the client, not for the caregiver or the hospital.
