How To Whitelist Organic Bytes in your Spam Filter

Increasingly, Internet Service Providers (ISP) are using filtering systems to try and keep spam out of customers' inboxes. Sometimes, they accidentally filter the email that you want to receive. In many cases you are not notified (and neither are we) that an Organic Bytes email didn't get through.

To make sure that Organic Bytes is not filtered into your "junk" or "bulk" folder, please add ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org to your list of trusted senders. Follow the directions below.

Please whitelist us now, before your delivery is interrupted.

 

Please refer to the following whitelisting instructions you can use to whitelist Organic Bytes, depending on the filtering solution you use:

AOL

1) Go to keyword: Mail Controls. Select the screen name we're sending your Organic Bytes to.

2) Click Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name.

 

Version 9.0:

Open your latest Organic Bytes e-mail. Click the Add Address button (on the right) to add to your "People I Know" list.

 

Alternatively, you can just send an e-mail to: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org, and that will add us to your "People I Know" list automatically. To do this:

Open your latest Organic Bytes e-mail. Click the Reply button (it's in the top right corner). A new email window opens with the wrong address in the "Send To" box. Replace the address in the Send To box with: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org Click Send Now (in the top right corner). Even if the e-mail you send doesn't get through to us, the act of sending it does the job of putting us into your "People I Know" list.

 

ATT.net

If Spam-blocker is enabled and if the e-mail message is legitimate and was screened as spam, forward the original message as an attachment to this-is-not-spam@worldnet.att.net.

 

ATTGlobal.net

Your Graymail folder contains all possible spam e-mail. The Graymail folder shows up on the Spam Control page only after you activate the "Filter" option. Before you activate that option, there is no Graymail folder.

Once you have enabled the Spam Control feature, they have created an e-mail addresses for you to send your feedback. If you do receive an email from us, please forward it to notspammail@attglobal.net.

 

Bellsouth.com

You must opt-out of MailGuard to receive e-mail from us here. Once email is received forward it (with full headers) to this_is_good@bellsouth.net to have organicconsumers.org whitelisted.

 

CleanMyMailbox:

If Organic Bytes is filtered, from the spambox, click on the white "W" icon on the left column of the mailing. When the pop-up window comes up, simply click the Add to Whitelist button.

Alternative whitelisting methods:

* Click on the White List button.
Add: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org to the bottom of your existing list. Click the Submit List button.

 

Cloudmark SpamNet:

Select Cloudmark | Options... from the Cloudmark SpamNet toolbar in Outlook.
Click Advanced.
Go to the Whitelist tab. Click the Add button.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click OK. Click OK. Click Yes. Click OK.

 

Earthlink

Earthlink users can whitelist Organic Bytes emails through TotalAccess MailBox (Windows) or with WebMail (Windows or Mac platforms). Here's how:

Using TotalAccess Mailbox (Windows):

Open TotalAccess and choose the Mailbox

Click on the Address Button.

From the File Menu, choose New Company (Domain)

In the space provided, enter Connect2Agent.com and Click Add

Click Ok

From the File Menu choose New Contact

In the space provided, enter Organic Consumers Association as the name and ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org as the email address: then click Add

Click OK to add our contact name information.

Also - please make sure that we are not in your Blocked Sender List!

Click the Protection button in the TotalAccess Task Panel, select spamBlocker, and choose Settings.

Click the Edit Blocked Sender List button.

Look through the list, and Click on any address that is from organicconsumers.org (particularly ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org)

Click the Unblock Sender button to unblock this address

Repeat the steps above. (click on an address, and then the Unblock Sender button) for any organicconsumers.org addresses.

Click the Apply Changes button.

Using Web Mail (Macintosh or Windows Online):

Sign in to Web Mail

Click Address Book

Click the All Categories pull-down menu and choose Companies (Domains)

Click the Add button

In the space provided, enter organicconsumers.org

Click Allow This Company (Domain) button

Click the All Categories pull-down menu and choose Contact.

Click the Add button.

In the space provided, enter Organic Consumers Association as the name and ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org as the email address: then click Add

Click Save Button

Also - please make sure that we are not in your Blocked Sender List!

Click the spamBlocker in the left menu pane, below your Inbox and other mail folders.

In the list of tabs along the top part of the screen,click on Settings

Click on Blocked Sender List (in the lower right part of the screen)

Look through the list, and Click on any address that is from organicconsumers.org

Click the Unblock Sender button to unblock this address

Repeat the steps above. (click on an address, and then the Unblock Sender button) for any organicconsumers.org addresses.

Click Save Button (lower right part of screen)

 

Hotmail/MSN:

Click the Options link, on the main menu tabs, then Safe List.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org in your Safe List. If you see a message that should not be in your Junk Mail folder, click 'This is not Junk Mail' to avoid having e-mail from the same source sent to the Junk Mail folder in the future.

 

Mailblocks:

Click the Addresses tab.
Click New.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org Make sure 'Accept Mail From This Address' is selected under Receiving Options. Uncheck 'Display in People Picker' under Other options.
Click Submit. Click OK.

 

MailShield:

Click Friends from the toolbar.
Click Add.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click OK.

 

MailWasher:

Click Tools, then Blacklist & Friends. Click Add... on the right, the Friends list side. Make sure Plain email address is selected.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click OK. Click OK.

 

McAfee Spamkiller:

Click Friends from the sidebar.
Click Add.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click OK.

 

NetZero

If you're using NetZero, you can ensure that your Organic Bytes emails are delivered to your Inbox by setting your Junk Mail Filtering Preferences. Here's how:

* Log in to your NetZero Web Mail account.
* Click on Options (along the second row down, next to Address Book).
* Click on Safe List (in far right column, the third option down under Filtering).
* In the space provided, Add Address to Safe List, enter ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org, then click Add
* Click the Save button (bottom right of screen) to Apply these Mail Options.

 

Norton AntiSpam

 

AntiSpam works along with Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape and Yahoo (POP3), MSN/Hotmail to block many kinds of emails before it arrives in your inbox. To make sure your Organic Bytes emails pass through, you need to add us to your Personal Friends list, or Global Friends List. Here's how:

* Start up Norton AntiSpam, Click the Status & Settings tab
* Click AntiSpam (middle of the screen).
* Click Yellow Configure Button (bottom right of screen).
* Click Allowed List tab (the 2nd Tab on the list of tabs).
* Click the Add button (lower left).
* In the Email Address box, enter ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org . (Use Organic Consumers Association in the Name field)
* Click OK (bottom of screen).


Oddpost:

Check your 'Probably Spam' folder. If you see that Organic Bytes was incorrectly filtered out, select it, and click the 'Move to Inbox and Mark as Not Spam' button.

 

SpamAssassin:

Add the following entry to your user_prefs file, which is found in the
.spamassassin subdirectory on your web/mail server:

whitelist_from ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org

Save the user_prefs file or move the updated copy to your .spamassassin subdirectory. If you have no user_prefs file in this subdirectory, create one: http://spamassassin.taint.org/doc/Mail_SpamAssassin_Conf.html http://www.cleanmymailbox.com/sa

 

SpamButcher:

Click the Configure button. Go to the Known Senders tab. Click Add under 'Known Good Senders and Recipients'.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click OK. Click OK.

 

Spameater Pro:

Click Filters from the sidebar. Click the Approved Senders tab.
Click Add Filter.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org under Address. Choose 'Full Email Address' under Address Type.
Select Email Domain. Click OK.

 

Spam Inspector:

Select Spam Inspector, then 'Manage Friends List' from either the Spam Inspector toolbar or from the Outlook menu. Make sure Email is selected under 'Add a New Friend'.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org Click the button.
Click Close.

 

Spam Interceptor:

Follow the Trusted link under Authentication Lists. Enter the email address: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click Add.

 

SpamPal:

Click on the SpamPal system tray icon with the right mouse button. Click 'Add to Whitelist' from the menu.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org
Click Add.

 

Spam Sleuth:

Select File, then Configure. Go to the Friends category. Make sure Active is checked.
Type: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org on a line by itself in the entry field.
Click OK.

 

Verizon

If you're using Verizon for e-mail, you can ensure that your Organic Byyes are delivered to your Inbox by adding our "From" address to your Safe List. Here's how:

* Go to your Verizon Inbox.
* Click Options.
* Select the Block Senders tab (near the top of the screen).
* On the Block Senders screen, you'll see both a "Block Sender List" and a "Safe List". In the space where it says, "Enter e-mail address or sub domain to always accept even if the domain is blocked", enter ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org

 

Yahoo! Mail

Open your Yahoo! mailbox.
Click Mail Options. Click Filters. Click Add Filter.
In the top row, labeled 'From header:' make sure Contains is selected in the pull-down menu. Click in the text box next to that pull-down menu, then enter the address: ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org At the bottom, where it says "Move the Message To:" select Inbox from the pull-down menu. Click the Add Filter button again.

If Organic Bytes has been filtered to your "bulk" folder, simply open the message and click on the "This is not Spam" link next to the "From" field.

Other providers:

If Organic Bytes is being filtered, try adding ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org to your Address Book or Contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your 'inbox' or forwarding the message to yourself.

If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP's technical support and ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from ronniecummins@organicconsumers.org.

Domain: If they need to know the domain we're mailing from, tell them: organicconsumers.org

IP Address: If they ask for our sending IP address, tell them: 69.43.203.76

 

Other ISPs

Each ISP is a little different, but they usually provide help or instructions about whitelisting, so see what the documentation says to do.

If you can't find how to whitelist us by reading, call or e-mail your ISP's tech support or postmaster@your-isp.com and specifically ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from organicconsumers.org.
