A Pima County informational meeting turned into a Monsanto protest after dozens of people packed the Oro Valley Library to contest the company's plans to build in Pima County.

"I personally don't trust it," said GeeGee Larrington who requested to speak at the meeting.

"I have not heard once read anything good about Monsanto in terms of our health," said another woman.

Monsanto has purchased land near Marana in the hopes of building a 7 acre greenhouse near the intersection of Twin Peaks and Sanders Rd.

Monsanto scientist Amanda McClerren spent more than two hours answering questions at the meeting.
