Why is USA election rigging and election theft important to organic consumers, natural health advocates, and those alarmed about our climate? As food and climate activists or concerned consumers we can and indeed are making a big impact in the marketplace. Organic food and renewable energy are both growing at a rapid pace. Polls show that the majority of American consumers are definitely concerned about food safety (pesticides, antibiotics, synthetic hormones, GMOs, factory farms, diet-related diseases), and the impact of industrial farming on the environment, wildlife, and biodiversity. Most people support solar and wind as a replacement for dirty fossil fuels, especially as clean energy becomes cheaper as well as more efficient.

Given the current growth of consumer demand for organic and grass-fed food, for example, our food and farming system will likely be mainly organic and regenerative (climate friendly and soil building as well as healthy) within 25 years. Although this sounds like progress, the problem is that we don’t have 25 years to keep our diet-related public health crisis (one third of all children now afflicted with chronic disease, a massive and growing epidemic of obesity, diabetes, and cancer) from decimating our population and bankrupting the country. Nor do we have 25 years to reach zero emissions (our out of control food and farming and land use system now generates between 44-57% of all global warming greenhouse gases) before our climate crisis turns into a climate catastrophe.

We not only need a Consumer Revolution, we need a revolution in public policy as well. We need elected government officials at all levels–local, state, and federal–who understand our public health, food, and climate emergency, and are willing to represent the needs and aspirations of we the people, the 99%, not the special interests. But we will never be able to carry out this grassroots consumer and political revolution without fair and transparent elections. That’s why the article below is so important to all of us. Food, climate, and natural health activists have no choice but to become political activists as well, including fighting against election theft and election rigging, and throwing the bums out of office who are betraying us. The real threat to our elections are not Russian hackers, but rather the corporate cronies and criminals who now control both the Republican and Democratic parties in the USA.

There aren’t enough white guys to elect Donald Trump, so white nationalist and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach helped him eliminate people of color from voter lists, says investigative journalist Greg Palast in this Truthout interview.
