In this era of the Anthropocene, in which human activities are the dominant forces that negatively affect the environment, the world is facing multiple environmental, social, and economic crises. Simply being sustainable is not enough. Do we want to sustain the current status quo or do we want to improve and rejuvenate it?

On Earth Day, Regeneration International, OCA’s sister organization, with their 360 partner organizations in 70 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Oceania, North America and Europe, will continue to promote, facilitate and accelerate the global transition to regenerative food, farming and land management for the purpose of restoring climate stability, ending world hunger and rebuilding deteriorated social, ecological and economic systems.

What’s the best way to “encourage voluntary adoption of agricultural practices that sequester carbon, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and ensure resiliency to climate change”?
 
The U.S. Department of Agriculture wants to know. They’re accepting public comments through April 29, 2021 on climate-smart agriculture policy.
 
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack wants to create a Carbon Bank where fossil fuel polluters could pay farmers for carbon credits.
 
Farmers should be paid, but not to give fossil fuel companies an excuse to pollute!
 
The best way to support farmers is through Natural Resources Conservation Service programs that can rapidly scale up the organic agriculture and regenerative grazing practices that have the potential to get agriculture to a place where it has eliminated its own carbon footprint and is actually drawing excess carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

Right now, because of synthetic fertilizer use and factory farms, agriculture is emitting 10 percent of U.S. greenhouse gases—and that’s only what happens on the farm, not in the larger food system.

We can’t let Vilsack continue to support false solutions like ethanol and biogas that have only increased this pollution.

Sustainable, local, organic food grown on small farms has a tremendous amount to offer. Unlike chemical-intensive industrial-scale agriculture, it regenerates rural communities; it doesn’t pollute rivers and groundwater or create dead zones; it can save coral reefs; it doesn’t encroach on rainforests; it preserves soil and it can restore the climate (IAASTD, 2009). Why do all governments not promote it?

For policymakers, the big obstacle to global promotion and restoration of small-scale farming (leaving aside the lobbying power of agribusiness) is allegedly that, “it can’t feed the world.” If that claim were true, local food systems would be bound to leave people hungry and so promoting them becomes selfish, short-termist, and unethical.

Synthetic “forever chemicals” such as PFAS (found in stain-resistant carpets, clothing, fast food packaging, Scotch tape, non-stick pots and pans, cosmetics, upholstery and a myriad of other consumer products), dumped into our environment, food, and water by “profit at any cost” corporations such as 3M and DuPont, are setting us up for chronic diseases that now plague the majority of Americans, as well as making the elderly and those in poor health more susceptible to the viral trigger, SARS-CoV-2, that amplifies and exacerbates pre-existing chronic diseases.

The official story and panic-mongering on COVID-19, regurgitated 24/7 for the last 14 months by the internet giants, mass media, Big Pharma, and government and health bureaucrats, is that:

• SARS CoV-2 arose naturally from nature (rather than being a lab-engineered virus that escaped)

• SARS CoV-2 poses a serious threat to everyone (young and healthy alike) in spite of the fact that nearly 100% of victims have been elderly and/or in very poor health

• There are no natural and holistic preventive measures to strengthen our immune systems and prevent people who come into contact with the virus to avoid becoming infected with COVID-19 and spreading it to others

• There are no supplements (quercetin and zinc and vitamin D), lifestyle changes (healthy organic food, exercise, and sunshine) or generic drugs (malaria medicine, ivermectin, and others) that can help us fight off the disease and avoid hospitalization or death. 

All we can do, the official story says, is hunker down in fear, social distance, wear our masks, and wait for the “Warp Speed” experimental drugs (“vaccines in name only”) to be injected into our bodies and those of our children, despite warnings of side effects and long-term health damage. 

These so-called “Emergency Use” vaccines, whose government scientists’ and Big Pharma patent holders do not even claim will prevent infection, transmission, hospitalization, nor death from COVID-19, are already causing thousands of deaths and serious adverse reactions such as blood clots. 

Censuring alternative information on the true origins, nature and virulence of COVID-19, as well as the successful non-Big Pharma prevention and treatment protocols across the world are not only wrong, but criminally negligent.
