Dutch Farmers ProtestChildren’s Health Defense reports: “Dutch farmers are protesting new climate policies they say will force them to kill off livestock and drive them out of business — policies which some argue also will drive up consumer food prices and contribute to the global hunger crisis. The new Dutch policy stems from a 2019 court order that nitrogen-compound pollution in the Netherlands “will have to be cut by 70% to 80%.” But as Dutch News reported: “The government’s strategy to take a regional approach to the issue will lead to major problems in parts of Gelderland and Noord-Brabant, where livestock farming is concentrated and a number of vulnerable habitats are being seriously damaged. “To meet the new rules, the amount of livestock farming will have to be reduced drastically, and that means some farmers will have to be bought out and shut down their operations.” According to a recent report by journalist Kim Iversen, “the farmers in the most regulated areas would essentially be put out of business.” Iversen said farmers who do not “voluntarily” accept the government’s proposal may have their land seized outright. “With the latest round of tightening of regulations, the Dutch government has announced more multi-billion-dollar buyout arrangements but has also stated they will expropriate the land from farmers who do not comply,” Iversen said. “They’ll take their land.” Iversen quoted Henk Staghouwer, the Dutch minister of agriculture, nature and food quality, who said, “There is not a future for all farmers within this approach.” Staghouwer offered to begin negotiations with the farmers, Iversen said, “but only on the condition the participants condemn the demonstrations” taking place in response to the new policies. ‘Hostile Takeover’ of Global Food SystemSusan Olmstead writes: “It’s ‘common knowledge’ that we’re headed for a food crisis, said Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. during an interview with agricultural researcher, permaculturalist and author Christian Westbrook on “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast.” Westbrook — also known as the Ice Age Farmer — said recent challenges around the availability and production of food are the result of a generations-long plan that began with the “Rockefeller takeover of agriculture.” Since then we have seen a “gradual destruction of the way humans have grown food since the dawn of time,” Westbrook said, “replacing it with what we now call modern, but highly toxic, petrochemical agriculture… The Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have long been pushing the idea of a Green Revolution, founded on the idea that animals and plants are “dirty and dangerous,” said Westbrook. These groups’ goal is to industrialize our food supply and even “patent and own the very genetics that make up our entire ecosystem,” he said. “That’s why we’re seeing this war on agriculture, the absolute war on real meat, replacing [it] with lab meat, replacing the organic good farms with … this technocratic approach,” Westbrook said. “This is bid for total control… Corporations try to seize control of agriculture through seed patents, which take seeds out of the hands of individual farmers, and through “fake foods” produced in laboratories, Westbrook said. Corporations, Not Farmers, Are the Real CriminalsOCA ally and Regeneration International co-founder, Vandana Shiva writes: “Reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, make the chemical industry pay for pollution instead of criminalizing farmers who were trapped by in the chemical treadmill through industrial agriculture. The nitrogen problem in Agriculture is a problem created by synthetic nitrogen fertilizers made from fossil fuels. Nitrogen fertilizers contribute to atmospheric pollution and climate change in the manufacture and the use of fertilizers. The manufacture of synthetic fertilizer is highly energy intensive. One kg of nitrogen fertilizer requires the energy equivalent of 2 liters of diesel. Energy used during fertilizer manufacture was equivalent to 191 billion liters of diesel in 2000 and is projected to rise to 277 billion in 2030. This is a major contributor to climate change, yet largely ignored. One kilogram of phosphate fertilizer requires half a liter of diesel. Nitrogen fertilizers also emit a greenhouse gas, N2O, which is 300 times more destabilizing for the Climate System than CO2. The unscientific, unjust, and undemocratic response to the chemical industry created nitrogen problem is to reduce farmers instead of reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers as is happening in the Netherlands. To reduce chemical fertilizer use, governments need to make the fertilizer industry pay for nitrogen pollution, and redirect subsidies from industrial agriculture to ecological farming. Criminalizing farmers for the crimes of the chemical industry is unfair and unjust. We need more farmers, not less, to regenerate the earth through an economy of care and belonging, and to produce real food which regenerates the health of the planet and our health. There is a dystopian vision of a future of “Farming with farmers”, a digital agriculture with larger farms, more fertilizer use, more biodiversity loss. While creating “Farming without Farmers” billionaires like Bill Gates are promoting more synthetic fertilizer use, aggravating the nitrogen problem. BODY AUTONOMY
Left and Right Hypocrisy on Abortion Rights, Vaccine Passports, and Bodily AutonomyAs we at OCA, and now an increasing number of others, have pointed out, Democratic politicians, and those fearful, self-righteous, but scientifically illiterate, Americans supporting mandatory injections of experimental, gene-altering “vaccines,” on the one hand, while claiming to support “choice” and “bodily autonomy” for women, are total hypocrites. On the other hand, the majority of Republicans who claim to support vaccine choice but not women’s choice are total hypocrites as well, forfeiting their credibility as champions of individual liberty and bodily autonomy. Without ecumenical, non-partisan conversation, honest debate, mutual understanding, flexibility, and consensus on basic constitutional liberties, pro-choice liberals and anti-choice conservatives will continue to alienate millions of independent-minded Americans, marginalizing themselves, allowing global elites, political opportunists like Biden or Trump, Big Pharma, and billionaires to set the agenda, keeping us fighting among ourselves, undermining our health, destroying our livelihoods, and controlling our lives. Of course no one truly wants abortion, but no one wants to live in a Big Brother totalitarian system either, except for those in the grip of mass psychosis, or would-be totalitarians. Compounding this hypocrisy, supposedly pro-peace, pro-life Democrats and Republicans, for the most part, have allowed themselves to be brainwashed by the mass media, ignoring the evidence (for example that the US, the Deep State, and NATO have provoked Russia and China into their belligerent behavior), saluting the flag, demonizing the Russians and Chinese, and cheerleading for more war. In addition, these pro-peace, pro-life hypocrites have supported or ignored the reckless US and global practice of weaponizing pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2 (disguised as medical or biodefense research), and have gone along with ever-increasing military spending, ignoring the cries and needs of the poor. No wonder, even a year ago, 62% of Americans told the Gallup Poll that we need a new political party, independent from the Democrats and the Republicans. Jim Kavanagh writes in The Polemicist: “Failing to have a consistent position based on bodily autonomy in regard to the forced intrusions of vaccine mandates/passports and abortion criminalization is a mistake of grave consequence, politically and epistemologically. Those who don’t recognize that mistake are undermining their political position in support of abortion rights, fooling themselves, and confusing and harming the movement… Leftist vaccine mandate supporters have been, like all of us, imbued for decades with the Pharma-sponsored ideology of vaccine exceptionalism, which disappears bodily autonomy. It’s an ideology that has trained us, upon hearing the magic word ‘vaccine,’ to immediately and blithely assume there need not be, and it’s stupid to think there should be, any thought about possible serious harms to the person’s body or to public health. Pharma’s goal with that ideology is for every virus to be considered an apocalyptic danger to which a vaccine is the harmless-magic-bullet solution. The Organic Community Needs to Ban PlasticsBeyond Pesticides writes: "Plastics are a huge environmental problem, yet organic production and handling continue to exacerbate the problem instead of solving it. There are opportunities for change with different mulching systems, intercropping, and packaging materials. It is time to ensure organic’s commitment to addressing the existential crises associated with a petroleum-based economy and lead the way in combatting the climate crisis by ending plastic use in agricultural production and food packaging." Tell the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) it must lead in phasing out plastic at all stages of production and handling.

Genetically Engineered, Self-Spreading VaccinesCarolyn Hendler writes: “It may sound like the plot of a science fiction movie, but U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded scientists have been secretly working on genetically-engineered live virus vaccines, which they refer to as ‘contagious’ vaccines, that can transmit vaccine strain viruses through a population on their own. The vaccines are so contagious that only five percent of the population would need to receive the shot, while the other 95 percent would be passively vaccinated through vaccine strain infection, shedding and transmission. A ‘contagious’ vaccine would spread swiftly as people come in close contact with body fluids of a recently vaccinated person, such as saliva or nasal secretions, like when a person sneezes or coughs and inhales droplets from someone infected with a cold or influenza virus.
