COVID One Year AfterOne year after the onset of COVID-19, the truth is coming to light about the lab origins of the virus, the international cover-up, the nefarious manipulation of scientific and medical data, the organized, systematic panic-mongering by the media, the censorship of alternative health information, the Emergency Laws and the attack on fundamental human and constitutional rights orchestrated by the pandemic profiteers and the proponents of a Great Reset. COVID TRIBUNAL
Live Last NightWow! What a night! We held a COVID-19 Tribunal, a three-hour long epic live event featuring four inspiring panels of expert scientists, doctors, attorneys, authors, filmmakers and activists who shared their extraordinary expertise and insights, based on a collective 75,000 hours of research into the most important topic of our lifetime. With all live events, hiccups are expected, but something happened that we couldn’t plan for. Just as we began an interview with Truth About COVID-19 coauthors Dr. Joseph Mercola and Ronnie Cummins, our Rokfin livestream crashed, our channel disappeared and the site was disabled. Was the site pulled down by our 16,000 RSVPs all trying to join at once, or were we the victim of a cyber attack? Rokfin confirmed it was the latter, but they are bravely continuing to host us. Luckily, those who had joined the broadcast early didn’t lose their connection and many used creative ways to connect their friends, sharing their screens in impromptu watch parties. Within the hour, Rokfin had fended off the attack and restored service. We were able to keep recording throughout and the full broadcast is now available on Rokfin, and for safe keeping, it is also on Odysee. CIVILIAN CLIMATE CORPS
79% of Likely Voters Support the Idea of a Regenerative Civilian Climate Corps—So Do We!Just before Earth Day, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D‑N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D‑Mass.) introduced the Civilian Climate Corps for Jobs and Justice Act of 2021 at a news conference reintroducing the Green New Deal. The Corps will compensate at least $15 per hour for its 1.5 million workers, provide full healthcare coverage, support transportation, housing, and childcare for workers, and offer educational grants of $25,000 per year of service. The CCC will have a major focus on regenerating agricultural and forest lands: “Conserve and restore public lands and waters, bolster community resilience, increase reforestation, increase carbon sequestration in the agricultural sector, protect biodiversity, improve access to recreation, and address the changing climate.” It also includes explicit antiracist language to ensure “environmental justice communities” benefit from of at least 50% of the projects. Bill Gates: Let Them Eat Fake MeatOne of Bill Gates’ most recent promotions is his prescriptions of synthetic foods for developed countries as a means to combat climate change. In a recent interview with MIT Technology Review, Gates says he thinks “all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef.” Fake food replaces animal products with highly processed food grown in labs, like fake meat, fake dairy products or fake eggs. It is made possible by technical innovations such as synthetic biology, which involves reconfiguring the DNA of an organism to create something entirely new. For instance, plant-based meat companies like Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods use a DNA coding sequence from soybeans or peas to create a product that looks and tastes like real meat. ENDANGERED MONARCH
"There are more Starbucks locations in California than overwintering monarchs.”Pesticides, climate change, and habitat destruction have monarchs, once a familiar sight, plummeting toward extinction. This year, 1,914 of the insects were counted overwintering in coastal California. That is a 99.9% drop from the 1980s. More than 80 groups have called on Congress to grant $100 million per year for the conservation of monarch butterflies. In addition, the recently introduced “MONARCH Act” would provide $12.5 million a year to support on-the-ground conservation projects to stabilize and save the western population of monarch butterflies. By advancing these measures, along with a concerted effort to protect the migratory pathways of monarchs, we can start pulling them back from the brink of extinction. Bitcoin is Bad for the EnvironmentElizabeth Kolbert writes in the New Yorker: “According to the Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index, bitcoin-mining operations worldwide now use energy at the rate of nearly a hundred and twenty terawatt-hours per year. This is about the annual domestic electricity consumption of the entire nation of Sweden. According to the Web site Digiconomist, a single bitcoin transaction uses the same amount of power that the average American household consumes in a month, and is responsible for roughly a million times more carbon emissions than a single Visa transaction. Sweden Without a Lockdown Did Better than Other EU NationsNo face masks, #NoLockdown, no closure of restaurants or schools: the #Swedish government relied on the Swedes’ self-discipline to battle the Covid-19 #pandemic. Reuters reports: “While many Europeans have accepted lockdowns as a last resort given the failure to get the pandemic under control with other methods, the moves have in recent months prompted street protests in London, Amsterdam and elsewhere. Sweden, meanwhile, has mostly relied on voluntary measures focused on social distancing, good hygiene and targeted rules that have kept schools, restaurants and shops largely open—an approach that has sharply polarized Swedes but spared the economy from much of the hit suffered elsewhere in Europe. Preliminary data from EU statistics agency Eurostat compiled by Reuters showed Sweden had 7.7% more deaths in 2020 than its average for the preceding four years. A HISTORY OF FOOD

Bittman’s new book, Animal, Vegetable, Junk, explores the history of food and farming. It exposes the heavy toll that industrial agriculture and highly processed foods are taking on our health and environment. He debunks the myth that “cheap” foods grown in vast monocultures with toxic inputs will “feed the world” and reveals the disastrous consequences of free market capitalism on food and farming.
