The More Beautiful World We Know is Possible

“On a superficial level, it might look like the world situation is worsening in every way. And through 2023 it will probably continue to do so. War, poverty, inequality, ecological breakdown, crime, sickness, addiction, and other forms of misery will not subside, not yet, not outwardly. They may even grow— like a soap bubble, expanding in volume even as its membrane thins. Then one day it pops, and a tiny drop of soapy water falls to the ground. So big a structure from such little substance.

The core of the old story is hollowing out. The most fervent ideologues of power harbor secret doubts. The jailers yearn for liberation. The wealthy seek relief from their poverty. The powerful cry for deliverance from their helplessness. The comfortable sabotage their orderly arrangements. The warlike and violent pray secretly for their fear to lift. The void beneath the power, the wealth, the control, the comfort grows intolerable.

Cracks spread through the superstructure. Truths long denied seep out through the cracks. Contradictions erupt through the broken crust. People stop believing the stories that held the world in place. They just repeat the rituals, go through the motions, and enact the habits of a past that is less and less aligned with their consciousness…

The year 2023 will be a year of enlightenment. More and more, we will feel lightness. We have passed already through the darkest hour. The outward structures of misery yet remain, in society, in ourselves, but a new self-world-story has formed within both. The shell of the old, though cracking, will probably stay intact for a few more years, but its demise is unstoppable now if only we stop holding it together.”

2023: A Year for Natural Health?

Alliance for Natural Health looks ahead to 2023:

“Congress remains deadlocked. In the 2022 midterms, Democrats lost control of the House but retain a slim majority in the Senate. A divided Congress means it is difficult to enact major changes to current policy. But we still must be on the lookout for bad policies (like Sen. Durbin’s “mandatory product listing” for supplements) hidden in larger pieces of must-pass legislation because they lack the political support to pass on their own. A divided Congress makes it difficult for our opponents to get what they want, but it also makes it a challenge to enact proactive reforms that ANH supports, such as a bill allowing expanded free speech about the benefits of supplements, a bill to stop the FDA back-channel that allows natural substances like NMN to be turned into monopoly drugs, or a bill to protect access to homeopathic medicines…

Other threats to your supplement access come from the FDA. The agency said it planned to release its new draft of the terrible “new supplement” guidance by December 2022, but December came and went and no guidance was released, meaning there’s a good chance that the agency will finish it in 2023. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most dangerous threat to supplements we’ve seen in decades, because it seeks to impose a drug-like pre-approval system on supplements that would eliminate an estimated 41,700 products from the market. We continue to vehemently oppose the guidance as currently written and demand that substantial changes are made before the final version is released. We will be watching the FDA closely and will update you when the guidance is finally released…”

The Myth of No-Till: The Future is Regenerative & Organic

“It is a myth that the toxic degenerative GMO herbicide no-till systems can give higher crop yields and significant increases in soil organic carbon.

The fact is that we have enough high-quality studies now to show that Regenerative Organic Agriculture has the highest yields and the best increases in soil organic carbon.

The Rodale Institute’s 40-Year-Report on their Farming Systems Trial should end the myth of the toxic, GMO herbicide, no-till systems. Rodale’s scientific trials clearly show that these degenerative no-till systems are inferior to Regenerative Organic Agriculture on every key criterion. (Rodale 2022)

The Farming Systems Trial showed that the organic manure systems that used standard or limited tillage had higher levels of soil organic matter (soil organic carbon) and higher crop yields than GMO herbicide no-till. The trials produced the highest yields of maize in the tilled organic manure system and the best increases in soil organic carbon where the organic manure system used limited tillage. The limited tillage field was tilled every second year. Very significantly, 40 years of research show that organic maize yields have been 31 percent higher than conventional/industrial farming systems in drought years."

Global Alliance for Organic Districts (GAOD): Scaling Up Organic Agriculture

“The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of resilient local food systems that promote healthy people, environmental stewardship and a strong local economy. Lobbying governments around the world to adopt and support organic regenerative farming practices is paramount to establishing and maintaining local food systems and access to healthy food.

During these trying times, Regeneration International (RI) has remained steadfast in its efforts to spread the word about organic regenerative agriculture to local governments, municipalities, cities and regions worldwide.

Our latest endeavor includes participating in the virtual launch of the first Global Alliance for Organic Districts (GAOD), an alliance announced on World Food Day 2020 between Asian Local Governments for Organic Agriculture (ALGOA) and the International Network of Eco Regions (I.N.N.E.R.)."

One of the key projects in this global endeavor is the Billion Agave Agroforestry Project in Mexico, applicable to much of the 40% of the world that are desertified, arid, or semi-arid.

Yes, Gene-Editing is GMO (Requiring Labeling & Safety Testing)

Claire Robinson reports:

“Currently, governments around the world are moving to scrap regulatory safeguards around genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that are claimed to contain no foreign genes or foreign DNA. They choose to believe GMO lobby assertions that GM gene-edited plants and animals don’t contain any foreign genetic material in their genomes and are therefore as “natural” and safe as conventionally bred plants and animals.

But this is false. GM gene-edited organisms pose risks that are not confined to the presence of foreign DNA. And GM gene-edited plants and animals can and do contain foreign genetic material in their genomes, either by intention or inadvertently due to the imprecision and limitations of the gene editing process. Below are some of the ways that foreign DNA can get into the genomes of gene-edited GMOs": (1) Foreign genes or DNA can be intentionally inserted… (2) Fragments of foreign plasmid DNA can inadvertently integrate into plants’ genomes… (3) GMO developers often turn a blind eye to foreign DNA… (4) Claims that using pre-assembled editing tools avoid foreign DNA are false… (5) Foreign DNA from gene editing “kill switches” could contaminate the genome… (6) Foreign DNA from animal-derived culture media can be inserted into the genome of gene-edited animals… (7) GMO developers fail to clean up foreign DNA… and (8) Risks not confined to foreign DNA.

Monsanto & Pesticide Industry Wrote the “Playbook” for Big Oil & Tobacco

“As regulators in the United States and European Union prepare to review and potentially reauthorize the controversial weedkiller glyphosate, a new report reveals the stealth tactics and narrative spin deployed by the chemical’s manufacturer to discredit inconvenient science and protect profits.

The report, published by Friends of the Earth and nonprofit investigative organization U.S. Right to Know, uses the case study of Monsanto (now owned by Bayer) and its widely used glyphosate-based product Roundup to illustrate the pesticide industry’s deceptive tactics and communications strategies — which mirror those of the tobacco and fossil fuel industries.

“The pesticide industry is not just following in the footsteps of Big Tobacco and Big Oil, they co-wrote the playbook,” Stacy Malkan, lead report author and co-founder of U.S. Right to Know, said.

The pesticide industry used this PR strategy, which involves tactics like distorting science and disseminating misleading messaging through third party allies, to convince regulators and the public that its products were safe and necessary, the report explains.

“This case study provides an important window into how one company worked with many partners across the pesticide and processed food industries, academia, PR firms, and various front groups to sell the world on a toxic pesticide,” said author and advocate Anna Lappé, who contributed to the report. “These disinformation tactics are critical to understand because they have been used to push the entwined myths that we need pesticides to ‘feed the world’ and that they are totally safe.”

Could Electrosmog Be as Bad for Our Health as COVID Vaccines?

That is, the vast and complex soup of radio frequency (RF) radiation emitted by masts, microwaves, mobile devices, Bluetooth speakers, SatNavs and so on, that we swim in every day.

Turns out there’s ample evidence that has been ignored and suppressed that shows that electrosmog is damaging to all life on this planet, including ours. With the aggressive introduction of 5G, this is potentially getting much worse – and this is something we’re going to explore…”
