A close examination of campaign finance disclosures and other data reveals that Koch-tied entities are spending big on behalf of candidates in races for the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, and other state races in 2018.

To compile this list, the Center for Media and Democracy(CMD) examined disclosed donations from a variety of sources including Koch Industries‘ KochPAC. This is limited to the donations that are required to be disclosed under federal and state law.

Additionally, CMD reviewed news reports and press releases on the activities of a variety of Koch front groups, including Americans for Prosperity, Freedom Partners Action Fund, Generation OpportunityLibre Initiative, and the Concerned Veterans for America. Notably, much of this research is focused on disclosed spending through Political Action Committee reports, but the bulk of the Koch network spending is through dark money vehicles that don’t disclose the donors or the recipients.
