Today, millions of activists from around the world once again participated in March Against Monsanto events, calling for the permanent boycott of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and other harmful agro-chemicals. Hundreds of Organic Consumers Association (OCA) members participated in the marches.

Throughout the weeks prior to today's event, OCA mailed almost 800 free organizing material packets for March Against Monsanto events. Hundreds of others, after OCA announced we had exhausted our supply, have downloaded free materials from the OCA's Millions Against Monsanto campaign page

The activist packets included OCA's 'Millions Against Monsanto' leaflets, posters and bumper stickers, 'Save the Bees' leaflets and bumper stickers, and wildflower seed packets for making seed bombs.

Ronnie Cummins, national director of the OCA said, "Our members are fired up and eager to send a strong message to Monsanto that we'll continue to fight their predatory business and corporate agricultural practices that put GMOs in our grocery stores and harmful herbicides on our land and in our water. With recent victories in Vermont and in Oregon's Jackson and Josephine Counties, momentum is clearly on our side. In many ways this year's March Against Monsanto is as much a celebration as it is a rally for continued action."

Patrick Kerrigan, OCA's Retail Education Coordinator, who marched in the Minnesota March Against Monsanto - Twin Cities event, said, "I was pleased to join hundreds of other OCA members in Marching Against Monsanto. Our demands are quite simple and our message is clear: We want genetically modified foods labeled. We want factory farmed animal and genetically modified animal products labeled. We want independent, transparent, long-term studies done on the safety of GMO's for animals, plants and humans. We want the organic industry protected from cross-contamination and law suits against organic farmers."
