A new report shows how regenerative agriculture can repair and even reverse the impacts of our climate crisis.
Regenerative Agriculture and the Soil Carbon Solution is a white paper from the Rodale Institute based on years of research data. It shows that the ability to transform the way we farm is within our grasp. Instead of relying on industrial practices like monocultures, extensive tillage, pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, we could adopt "a system of farming principles that rehabilitates the entire ecosystem and enhances natural resources, rather than depleting them.”
We could begin tomorrow if we chose—and start drawing down more than 100% of current annual CO2 emissions, while at the same time boosting biodiversity both above and below the ground.
Regenerative farming brings other benefits too: reduction in pesticide use, improved soil health, higher nutrient density in our foods, better farm profitability and the revitalization of rural communities.
Those are goals worth fighting for and with your support we will keep fighting for food system change that benefits everyone—not just a few rich corporations.
