Food Irradiation- Take Action

Food Irradiation: TAKE ACTION!

Irradiation doesn't make food safe; it just insulates meat processors from legal liability if anyone gets sick.

Current Food Irradiation Actions and What You Can Do

Call these customer service lines. Ask if the company irradiates any food products. If the person says NO or I DON'T KNOW, tell them you hope the company won't, because you'll boycott their products if they do. If the person says YES, tell them you are disappointed but you will be boycotting their products in the future.

As an organization, OCA is not against eating meat. We oppose the factory farming system of meat production and the technologies - like irradiation - that keep it from collapsing.
